OUR MISSION

Kendriya Vidyalaya Mandapam has a four - fold mission, viz.,

1.        To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government employees including Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education ;

2.         To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education ;

3.         To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. and

4.          To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of “Indianness” among children.

Gateway to Excellence

K.V. Mandapam Belongs to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi an autonomous body, under the ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The beautifully designed school building stands majestically on the National Highway 49, enabling the children to enjoy the ‘Blessing in the gentle breeze’ that blows from the Palk Bay on one side and the Gulf of Mannar on the other side.  Since inception in the year 1987 the Vidyalaya has been taking the path of progress towards excellence.  The school with all its innumerable achievements undoubtedly stands as a Vidyalaya with a difference, reflecting its noble stature in all fields. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has sanctioned more than thirty eight lakh rupees to this K.V. under the integrated campus development during 2003-04 for improving the condition of the facilities already available in the school.

The VMC(Vidyalaya Management Committee) Consists of eminent persons. They assist the principal in major  decision making .

          A strong body of experienced persons assisting the Vidyalaya in all activities. The PTA's(Parent -Teacher   Association) supportive and effective role has brought about a lot of improvement in academics.
